Instruction

Students benefit from small class sizes with an average ratio of 14:1. The highly educated faculty regularly attend professional development workshops and collaborate to provide best instructional practices in their classrooms.

Our Early Childhood curriculum is child-centered and play based. Social-emotional learning, oral language development, print awareness, and mathematical and scientific exploration are integrated throughout the day.

Technology

Tablets will be deployed in grades K-3 and Chromebooks will be deployed in grades 4-8. Teachers will utilize the Google Classroom or Seesaw learning management systems, document cameras, webcams, and video conferencing both with in-person and remote learners. Queen students will become adept at utilizing technology in their learning.

1st-8th Grade

Queen of the Universe provides Chromebooks for use by students and interactive whiteboards in the classrooms to promote collaborative learning in various innovative forms.
Teachers participate in workshops that provide them with the necessary tools to better serve across various subject & content areas. Parental involvement opportunities are provided to continue our partnership with parents in the education of their children.

High School Preparation

Historically Queen of the Universe students are accepted into some of Chicago’s most prestigious private & public high schools including: Brother Rice, Cristo Rey Jesuit, De La Salle Institute, Marist, Mother McAuley, Queen of Peace, St. Lawrence, St. Rita, & Whitney Young.
